Description
The ETM9440 series terminals are industrial grade cellular modems with serial interface designed for demanding IoT applications. The units low power consumption and wide operating temperature range make them suitable applications in remote areas for example solar powered applications.
Interfaces The unit is fitted with a DB9 RS232 serial port, a 6-pin RJ12 input for power and a USB-B connection that can also be used for serial communications. Power input can be 6 to 35VDC. Antenna connector is FME M via a 110mm (approx.) cable extending from the unit.
Frequency Bands – Twelve-Band 4G The ETM9440-8 supports 12 frequency bands for 4G LTE and 7 frequency bands for 3G making it suitable for use across Australia and around the world.
Wide Operating Temperature Range Internally the ETM9440-8 Industrial 4G Serial Modem is fitted with the Cinteron PLS62-W Cellular Wireless module from Gemalto, the PLS62-W is an industrial grade module making the product suitable for operation from -30 to 70°C.
SMS The ETM9440-8 can be used to send SMS messages, from a server or PLC, by using the units AT interface in either Text or PDU mode, text mode being most common.
TCP/IP TCP/IP stack access is via AT commands
CSD The unit support CSD (Circuit Switched Data) commonly used for remote access to legacy equipment.
