ETM-ADB-BG96 is a LTE Cat M1/Cat NB1/EGPRS cellular module with a board to board connector and a Quectel BG96 chipset. This is  designed for demanding surveillance and general communications applications.

Gemalto’s Cinterion® BG96 wireless module is a LTE CatM1/Cat NB1/EGPRS module with ultra-low power consumption.

Board to Board Connector

Utilising and 80 Pin board to board connector makes the units simply to service in the field and ideal for small production runs where there is an advantage to adding the module at a late stage in the build.

Telstra™ Approved

With 700MHz Band 28 the BG96  is approved by Telstra™ for use on their Cat M1 and NB1 network.

Industrial Design

An operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C ensure the BG 96 wireless module provides a rugged reliable design choice for demanding M2M applications.

Future proof and support for multi-designs

Sharing a common footprint with existing Gemalto 2G, 3G and 4G modules, the unique form factor of BG96 supports easy migration between existing wireless standards. In addition, the footprint matches forthcoming lower category LTE modules including Cat.0 and Cat.M standards.

FOTA (Firmware over the Air)

An extended security concept with the latest TLS/SSL engine provides secure and reliable TCP/IP connectivity while an enriched internal flash file system enables free firmware updates over-the-air (FOTA) when required. Sophisticated sandbox modelling and layered architectures simplify device management and allow simultaneous progress of network operator approvals and application code development for a shorter time to market
